1800 - 1860 "Moor Sitting and smoking" Photo paper poster





Tobacco vignette made of paper with a Moor sitting in a recumbent oval sitting on a pile of lettered tobacco, an oversized pipe smoking, surrounded by packages with at the far left a tobacco barrel on which "TOBACCO" and from which and wreath tobacco leaves, next to it a square tea chest, on the horizon line right behind a ship, the oval in a lying square with quarter-round swirled corners and vertical hatching. Glued on green paper with ink handwritten above "PORTORICO" and underneath "AT W. PAPINK VAN STEDUM, TE GRONINGEN, OLD EBBINGESTRAAT". Back with ink "Va".
